Wednesday, September 6 2017 11:00 AM

The City of Colleyville will conduct targeted, localized adulticide spraying after mosquito sample sites tested positive for West Nile Virus.

Tarrant County Public Health notified city staff on Sept. 6 of positive mosquito samples from the 5200 block of Bransford Road and the 1600 block of Hall-Johnson Road. Crews will conduct localized, ATV-mounted spraying in the open area at the locations during the evening hours on Thursday, Sept. 7 and Friday, Sept. 8. Staff will also treat the sites with larvacide and will undergo continued treatment and testing.

City staff is notifying residents within a quarter-mile area of the sample sites via CodeRED.
