Q: Where is the Library?
A:The Colleyville Library is located in the City Hall complex at 110 Main St, Colleyville, TX.

Q: Does the Library have story times for kids?
A: The library offers twelve-week story time sessions during the fall and spring. A seven week session is offered during the summer which begins in June. The fall session starts in September and the spring session starts in January. Registration is required for each program. Registration may be done online or in person, and you must be a library cardholder. Colleyville residents will have first priority. Non-residents will be put on a waiting list and will be notified as soon as possible if room is available. Children may only be registered for one program. They must be the age of the story time on or before the first week of story time.

Q: How do I get a library card?
A: Colleyville residents may bring in a picture ID and proof of residence to the library to obtain a library card.
Q: What is the loan period for library materials?
A: Books may be checked out for 3 weeks and renewed up to five times if there are no holds for other patrons. Please note there are the following exceptions for loan periods: Magazines, Adult DVDs, Children’s DVDs, and Music CDs have a 7 day borrowing period.
Q: What are your fines on late materials?
A: An item carries a 25 cent per day overdue fee, except feature-length DVDs which carry a $1.00 per day overdue fee.
Q: What are your restrictions on borrowing?
A: If a person accrues $5.00 in fines, a restriction on borrowing privileges will be enforced.
Q: How do I renew an item?
A: Most items may be renewed in person, by calling the circulation department at (817) 503-1150, or on-line by using your patron library card number and (PIN).
Q: Do you have a limit on materials?
A: Yes, our limit is 40 items per card. Please note there is a limit of 10 for Music CDs, Adult Feature Length DVDs, Juvenile DVDs, Non-fiction DVDs and Juvenile Books with CDs.
Q: I lost my library card. What should I do?
A: Replacement library cards are issued to Colleyville resident patrons who bring in a picture I.D. and pay a replacement fee of $2.00.
Q: Do you have an Interlibrary Loan service?
A: Yes, Colleyville residents with a valid Colleyville Public Library card may request to borrow materials from the collections of other libraries nationwide. The lending library will set the loan length and due dates. It takes anywhere from 4 days to 4 weeks to receive the item, with the majority of the items arriving in around 10 days. A $2.00 charge will be assessed for items ordered that are not checked out. These requests can be made at the reference desk.
Q: Does the library have computers available for the public to use?
A: Colleyville Public Library has public access computers which may be used free of charge with a valid library card. The public access computers have Internet access, email and word processing capabilities.

Q: What is a PIN?
A: A PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a password you set up with the library staff in order to access your account from home.
If you did not set one up when you signed up for your library card, you can set one up by coming into the library or calling the library at 817.503.1161 for other options. PINs cannot be set up or reset over the phone. It must be 4-8 characters: numbers, letters, or a combination of both.
