The Colleyville Citizens Fire Academy (CCFA) provides our residents the opportunity to learn about the Department directly from our firefighters. CCFA is a participatory educational experience, geared towards teaching citizens about firefighting and the Fire Department. Topics covered include a behind the scenes station tour, fire basics, fire scene operations, EMS and medical operations, hazardous materials response tactics, and aero-medical operations.
Participants must be at least 18 years old and live or work in Colleyville. The CCFA is free but limited to 25 participants. Lunch will be provided.
This year's event has been canceled. The next Citizens Fire Academy will be in the spring of 2021.
Graduates of the Citizen Fire Academy can volunteer to man the relief truck when fire fighters are on a fire suppression scene. The relief truck aids the firefighters by providing necessities such as water.
