The Office of the City Secretary is responsible for conducting the General Election to elect officers of the City. The General Election is held on the first Saturday in May of each year as prescribed by the Election Code of the State of Texas and the City Charter. The Office of the City Secretary coordinates with Tarrant County elections for local, state, and federal elections.

2026 City of Colleyville General Election Cancellation, Annex A Vote Center Remains a Polling Location

The City of Colleyville General Election for Councilmembers Place 3 and Place 4 has been canceled as the candidates are unopposed. However, Colleyville residents may still vote in other elections which may appear on the May ballot.

Early voting for the May 2, 2026, election will run from April 20 through April 28. Tarrant County residents may vote at any early voting location listed on the Tarrant County Elections Administration website: https://www.tarrantcountytx.gov/en/elections/current-election-information.html.

In Colleyville, early voting and Election Day voting will take place at the Colleyville Recreation Center – Annex A, 5008 Roberts Road (behind the Recreation Center) on the following schedule:

Are you registered to vote, have you moved within Tarrant County?

You must be registered to vote in the city in which you currently reside and you must be registered 30 days prior to any election in which you wish to vote.  To verify your voting status, visit Tarrant County Elections' Voter Lookup.

If you moved from one place to another in the same county and wish to vote, you must change your address or notify the Tarrant County Elections Administrator.  Change of address options are listed below:

  • Correct your current voter registration certificate on the back and return it to Tarrant County Elections, 2700 Premier Street, Ft. Worth, TX 76111
  • Fill out a new voter registration application form and check the “change” box
  • When you apply for or change your Texas driver’s license, change your voter information at the same time

You can change your information online at the Secretary of State’s Voter Registration Name / Address Change website

The changes you make will be forwarded to the county voter registrar for processing. You will be mailed a new certificate with your new address and be able to vote in your new precinct 30 days after you submitted your change. If you miss the 30-day deadline to change information on your voter registration certificate, you may vote in your former precinct as long as you still reside in the political subdivision conducting the election. 

Ballot by Mail
Tarrant County registered voters are eligible to request and receive a ballot by mail if any of the following conditions prevents them from voting in-person during the early voting period or on election day:

  1. Expected absence from the County during both the early voting period and on election day. (The ballot must be mailed to an address outside the County.)
  2. Disability
  3. 65 years of age or older
  4. Confinement in jail and not finally convicted of a felony
  5. Expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day
