One option for residents to dispose of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) has traditionally been through drop-offs at the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center (FWECC). The City of Colleyville has contracted with the FWECC for many years and enjoyed a great partnership. Unfortunately, the City was notified that rates charged by the FWECC to the City for this service will nearly double on October 1, 2023.

Fortunately, Colleyville already has an existing program with Community Waste Disposal (CWD) for door-side recycling of HHW and electronics. All items accepted by the FWECC are also accepted by CWD. Beginning October 1, 2023, all HHW disposal will transition to the CWD door-side program ONLY and the contract with the FWECC will terminate. HHW may be dropped off at the FWECC through September 30.
