Mayoral Red Kettle Challenge
Mayor Richard Newton, members of the Colleyville City Council, Colleyville Fire Department, and other community volunteers will ring the bell for the Salvation Army's Annual Mayoral Red Kettle Challenge this Saturday.
The Mayoral Red Kettle Challenge pits Mayor Richard Newton against other area mayors to see who can raise the most money for the Salvation Army this holiday season. The cities we are competing with include Arlington, Bedford, Burleson, Dalworthington Gardens, Euless, Hurst, Kennedale, Mansfield, North Richland Hills, and Pantego.
If you’d like to help by showing that #ColleyvilleGives, stop by one of the participating locations between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on December 14. Your donation will help the Salvation Army provide services to families in crisis in our community.
Mayor Newton and other community volunteers will ring the Salvation Army bell on Saturday, December 14 at the following locations:
Neighborhood Walmart, 4904 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034
Market Street, 5605 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034
Albertsons, 4000 Glade Rd, Colleyville, TX 76034
If you can't make it by one of the kettles on December 14, you can contribute online at https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/colleyville or by texting COLLEYVILLE to 71777.
The Mayoral Red Kettle Challenge creates a fun and spirited rivalry between cities, but most importantly the money raised in Tarrant County goes back to the community. A successful Red Kettle season greatly increases the Salvation Army’s ability to meet the crisis needs of food, clothing, and shelter in the community at Christmas time and throughout the year.
