What better listener than a friendly, non-judgmental dog from the Heart of Texas Therapy Dogs program? These programs are growing in libraries across the country and researchers report a rise in reading levels among participating children. Independent readers (grades 1-5) can bring a favorite book from home or choose one from the library, and read it to a furry friend while here at the library! “Rocket” Readers is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
