Citizens Police Academy suspended until further notice.

Our next Citizens’ Police Academy (Class XVIII), will begin on February 20, 2020 and will end on May 13, 2020. (In observance of GCISD Spring Break, we will not meet on March 12)

Class is held weekly on Thursday evenings for 3 hours, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM, with the exception the graduation banquet, which will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. There are 11 days of classroom instruction, one ride along, and a graduation banquet.

The academy is free and open to Colleyville residents and business owners who are 18 years old or older, and is designed to acquaint them with the roles and responsibilities of the department. Participants will observe presentations by the narcotics task force, criminal investigation division, tactical unit and more. Students also take part in practical exercises by making mock traffic stops and building searches.
