Answers to the most frequently asked questions about street maintenance.
Objectives
- Perform routine street maintenance activities
- Repair reported potholes expeditiously

Hours of Operation
Normal hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, standby personnel are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Reporting problems
To report any problem during normal working hours for streets, drainage, water, or sewer, call the Colleyville Public Works
Division,at 817-540-0609. For after hour emergencies contact the Colleyville Police Department at 817-281-3132 and the request will be forwarded to our standby personnel.
Specific Projects
Resurfacing projects are accomplished by contract as needed and approved during the budgeting process.
Crack sealing is accomplished by the on call contractor as submitted by the street department.
Street reconstruction projects are routed through the Engineering
Division, for study and design. Projects are prioritized for city council approval and funding. Street reconstruction is the removal of an existing street, complete replacement of the infrastructure (storm drains, pipes, culverts, curb, gutter, water, sewer, gas, etc.) as needed, re-grading of the sub surface, stabilizing the sub grade, and applying a new surface of either concrete or asphalt.
Potholes
A pothole crew is scheduled every workday that weather permits and materials are available from the asphalt plants. During rains, a temporary patch is applied and the final patch is made as soon as the work can be scheduled and weather permits.
