Scoring on the written portion will determine the applicant’s ranking on the eligibility list. Five points for military service will be added to passing scores of qualified applicants. Testing is offered approximately every six months. Pre-Applicants for most positions will be subject to a comprehensive background investigation, an oral interview board, a one-on-one interview (or interviews), a polygraph examination, psychological evaluation and physical examination including a drug screening prior to employment.
