EXPANDING TO MEET COMMUNITY NEEDS
The construction phase is complete. Finishing touches such as new shelving and furniture will be completed over the next few months.
The Colleyville Public Library opened on November 24, 2003, and in its first seven years of service, has provided significant service to the community. Use of the library has continued to grow each year since its opening, and in all of its key performance metrics, the library has experienced double and triple digit increases. In May 2008, the library embarked on a project to create a Colleyville Public Library Second Floor Expansion Plan. The purpose of the project was to develop a plan to reorganize the library to utilize available space to provide better support for the library’s programs for children and adults. During the process, community input identified needs which were incorporated in the project.
