 Local Mitigation Plan

Mitigation forms the foundation of every emergency management agency’s plans and procedures. By Resolution R-15-3889 on July 7, 2015, the Colleyville City Council adopted the Tarrant County Local Mitigation Action Plan (LMAP) which identifies the hazards faced in the community, vulnerabilities to these hazards, and mitigation strategies for the future. The plan fulfills the requirements of the Federal Disaster Mitigation Act as administered by the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The Tarrant County LMAP is a guide for all communities that participated in its development. The plan was prepared under the direction of the Tarrant County Local Mitigation Action Planning Committee.  To view the full Tarrant County LMAP, click here.
