
Property Crimes comprise the majority of crimes committed in our community. They include vandalism, theft, vehicle theft, burglary and arson;
Financial Crimes are cases of identity theft, internet fraud, deceptive practices, forgery, credit card fraud, embezzlement, and counterfeiting;
Crimes Against Persons such as assault, robbery, elder abuse and neglect, sex offenses, battery, rape and homicide;
Domestic / Family Violence – a specially trained detective and an advocate are assigned to conduct follow-up investigations and provide assistance to victims of domestic related cases. The team can provide information on the Victim’s Compensation Act for victims of domestic violence, residency options, Emergency Protection Orders, and referrals to local agencies;
Juvenile Crimes - crimes committed by, or against, youth under the age of seventeen. Three school resource officers are assigned to work within CMS, HMS and CHHS, and investigate crimes that occur on school property. Colleyville PD is also a member of the NE Tarrant County Child Abduction Response Team, which can be mobilized in the event of a child abduction;
Narcotics – cases involving suspects for the illegal selling, buying and possession of dangerous drugs or narcotics.
