UPDATE 9/18/08
According to the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (the T), the Environmental Impact Study on the commuter rail project is complete and is currently being reviewed by the Federal Transit Administration. The T anticipates the release of the study to the public later this fall.
The Committee is currently working on a Public Awareness Campaign encompassing regional mobility issues, facts regarding proposed commuter train operations through Colleyville, pros and cons of commuter rail transportation, as well as mitigation efforts needed for any negative aspects of a station stop in Colleyville.
The public meetings, conducted earlier this summer by the Commuter Rail Citizen Committee, were designed to gather public input and questions related to the Southwest-to-Northeast commuter rail service announced by the Fort Worth T earlier this year. Responses to the many questions asked by more than 200 Colleyville citizens during the four public meetings are now available online. Copies of the information also are available at City Hall, the public library, and the Colleyville Senior Center. The T also has an extensive list of FAQs on their site at the Southwest-to-Northeast Rail Corridor official website.
Access to the Commuter Rail Citizen Committee webpage will be available on the front page of this website via the blue navigation bar.  For immediate access to the commuter rail page, click here.
