DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation         APPLICATION DEADLINE: Until Filled

SUMMARY OF POSITION:  Assists with the maintenance of City Public areas, including but not limited to parks, athletic fields, and departmental buildings.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Maintain and care for recreation and park facilities and preparation of athletic fields for events. All aspects of park maintenance including grounds maintenance tasks, janitorial services for park facilities, removal of trash and debris, cleaning of restrooms, special event support, and recreational programming support.  Tasks can be assigned for weekday evenings or daytime hours.  Hours can be very flexible and will include some weekend work. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  High school diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience in building/grounds maintenance or a related field preferred. Possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

SALARY RANGE:  $11.80 – $15.97 per hour
