Colleyville, Texas City Hall
City Council Grants Sensor Rebate
According to city ordinance, all automatic irrigation systems in the city must be fitted with rain and freeze sensors by August 2008. To encourage compliance with the ordinance, the City Council has granted a one-time $20 rebate (credit) on customer water bills.
In August 2006, the Colleyville City Council adopted Ordinance O-06-1587 amending the water conservation and drought contingency plan. One part of the plan calls for all automatic irrigation systems to be fitted with rain and freeze sensors by August 2008. To assist our residential and commercial customers, the city of Colleyville is offering a one-time $20 rebate (credit) on water usage fees, following verification of rain and freeze sensors installed by August 31, 2008.  The rebate will appear as a credit on a future water bill.

To be eligible for the rebate, Colleyville customers must:
1. Provide a readable copy of the receipt for the purchase of rain/freeze sensor(s).
2. Complete and return the rebate form to the Colleyville Water Utility Department. Please note that rebate forms should be mailed separately from water utility payments or it may delay receipt of the rebate credit.
3. Only one rebate per household. All rebate forms must be received in the Utility Billing Department no later than August 31, 2008. Rebate forms received August 31, 2008 will be invalid and ineligible for the rebate.
Installation of the sensor(s) will be verified by city personnel. After verification, the rebate will be issued on a future water bill. Please allow 30-60 days for processing.
