Colleyville, Texas…The city of Colleyville will conduct a joint election with Tarrant County on May 13, 2006. Colleyville’s polling site on Election Day will be Bransford Elementary, located at 601 Glade Road. This year all Colleyville residents seeking to cast their vote on May 13 will vote at the Bransford Elementary location. The site will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Early voting begins May 1 and, in addition to voting at Colleyville City Hall, located at 100 Main Street, voters may cast their ballot at any Tarrant County voting location. For a complete list of polling sites, visit www.tarrantcounty.com or call 817.831.VOTE (8683). Dates and times for early voting are May 1-5, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; May 6 (Saturday), 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; May 7 (Sunday), 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; and May 8-9, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. The special election for Tarrant County, elections for the respective school districts serving Colleyville, including Birdville, Carroll, and Keller, and the city’s general election are on the ballot. Colleyville city election information for Places 3, 4, 5, and 6 will be located at the bottom of each ballot. None of the candidates for the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District (GCISD) drew opponents, so there will be no GCISD candidates on the May ballot. Each ballot for Colleyville residents will contain the same information for the Tarrant County special election and the city’s general election; however, voting information for school district elections will vary, depending on the school district in which they reside. Early voters will use voting machines that automatically provide the correct balloting information for their school district. Election Day voters will be provided with the appropriate paper ballot.
