Colleyville, Texas…Nothing heralds the arrival of a new season like spring cleaning. Keep Colleyville Beautiful is once again taking spring cleaning to the streets with its bi-annual Clean Sweep event. Twice a year Colleyville businesses, organizations, school groups, and individuals disperse throughout the city in an anti-litter effort that has brought the community together for more than 10 years…and left the city with some of the cleanest streets in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Clean Sweep 2006 is scheduled Saturday, April 29 from 8:30 a.m. until noon.

Colleyville’s 2006 Clean Sweep activities will serve as the kick-off event for the 20th anniversary of the statewide Don’t Mess with Texas clean-up campaign. The city was selected for its commitment to beautification projects.

During Clean Sweep, Colleyville citizens can take advantage of the Crud Cruiser, a receptacle for hazardous waste. Conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, the Crud Cruiser will be available from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Colleyville City Hall. IESI, the city’s waste management contractor, will be at the old city hall building (5400 Bransford Road) to receive large item drop-off.
