Colleyville, Texas

            The TAMI judges chose the Colleyville website, Colleyville.com, based on the site’s aesthetic appeal, ease of navigation, relevance and breadth of information provided, and overall design. The city launched its redesigned site in 2006. In its first year, the site received almost 250,000 hits.

            “In a society dominated by the Internet, the city made a solid commitment to developing a website that was reflective of our community and responsive to the needs and requirements of our unique demographic. In addition, we wanted a site that showcased Colleyville’s appeal to any prospective businesses and visitors,” remarked City Manager Bill Lindley.           
             “It’s rewarding for our council and staff to receive this recognition from TAMIO, a group whose membership oversees the development of websites and public information in cities around the state.”
            Colleyville contracted with 360ideas, a Web marketing and design firm headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, to provide technological services for the site. 360ideas provides Web and graphic design, custom applications, and Internet marketing for clients in Kansas, Texas, Florida, and Indiana. The company’s design team worked in conjunction with city staff to complete the site.

            In addition to information regarding city departments, meeting agendas, public documents, events and activities, and city programs, Colleyville.com provides webcasts of city council meetings, online bill payment services, and an interactive feature that allows residents and businesses to register questions and/or complaints with the city on a 24-hour-a-day basis.
