Colleyville, Texas…The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has recognized the city of Colleyville with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. Presented annually, the award is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting. This is the twelfth consecutive GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award the city has earned.
The award represents a significant achievement. It reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meet the highest principles of governmental budgeting. To achieve the award, the city had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation, ensuring that Colleyville’s budget served as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and a communication device from the city to its citizens. Terry Leake, the city’s finance director, and her staff will receive the Certificate of Recognition for Budget Presentation at the May 1 city council meeting. The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving approximately 16,000 government finance professionals throughout the United States and Canada. The GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation awards program is the only national program in governmental budgeting. |
