Project Description Fog seal maintenance is performed on the asphalt pavement of each newly constructed street—and every five years thereafter. Fog sealing is a method used to coat new hot-mix surfaces to lock in the materials and fill surface voids. Fog sealing ensures the reduction of early stone loss and adds life to the pavement. It is also used to rejuvenate older pavement.
