Street Capital Improvement Program
Road quality has an impact on every Colleyville resident, business, and visitor—affecting property values; business, school, and residential accessibility; and the quality of life of our citizens. The Street Capital Improvement Program (CIP) encompasses projects that maintain or improve Colleyville’s roadway infrastructure.

With a population that has increased by more than 50 percent since the early 1990s, it is imperative that the city maintain and build its street infrastructure to meet the demands of a growing residential and commercial population.

Under council directive, a citizen CIP committee was formed to provide community input into the assessment and selection of street projects. The information provided herein reflects the committee’s input on recommended projects, as well information on current and ongoing projects. This information is provided to inform and educate Colleyville citizens and other interested parties on the CIP process.

BUDGET OVERVIEW FOR CIP PROJECTS
The city of Colleyville and its leaders recognize that maintaining and enhancing its street infrastructure is one of the most important responsibilities local government can undertake. For residents, it is a quality of life issue and a public safety concern. In addition, well-maintained streets bring an economic benefit, helping to attract new businesses and visitors to the community.

To meet that responsibility, the city of Colleyville has steadily increased its budget allocation for street projects during the past five years, from $150,000 to more than $800,000.  During the next few years, the city has set a goal to increase the allocation to $1,000,000.
