Model Neighborhood Program |
|
The Model Neighborhood Program focuses on identifying and recognizing communities in our city that continue to set an example for what we as citizens envision as a clean, safe, and inviting place to call home.
To become a Model Neighborhood, a community must commit to the following on an annual basis:
- Clean up trash from streets and public areas monthly.
- Designate a beautification/landscape group or individual.
- Maintain all common (non-public) grounds.
- Mark storm drains with approved markers.
- Review street lights and signage monthly.
- Participate in the Neighbors-on-Watch (N.O.W.) Program.
Packets containing instructions, audit forms, storm drain markers, special adhesive, etc. were available for pickup in the City Manager’s Office at city hall, located at 100 Main Street. After completing the required elements, return the packets to the Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 6700 Colleyville Boulevard. Submitted packets are reviewed in the order they are received by the Model Neighborhood Committee. The first Model Neighborhood was awarded in April 2006.
This is an opportunity for Colleyville residents to continue to showcase their pride in their community and neighborhood. Keep Colleyville Beautiful is continually searching for volunteers to assist with projects and initiatives.
