Employment Application
When completing an application, read and follow the instructions provided. You may apply for more than one position at a time. A completed application must be submitted for each position. If assistance or special accommodations are required, please consult the Human Resources office.
The City of Colleyville relies on the accuracy of the information contained in the employment application, as well as the accuracy of other data presented throughout the hiring process. It is necessary that the applicant provide the last ten (10) years of employment experience on the employment application. An application or resume will not be accepted if it contains the following information: photos, personal information such as family information, hobbies, national origin, race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, or disability. When you submit your application, it should clearly describe what position you are applying for and how you meet the minimum requirements (education, experience, skills and abilities). Interview preference is given to the most qualified applicants, who may possess more specific education and/or experience than is given in the job announcement or job description. The Human Resources department may determine the most appropriate means of evaluating applicants against job requirements to identify the best qualified candidate. Applicants may be required to satisfactorily complete job-appropriate testing, interviews, background checks, performance tests, written tests, reference checks, and/or other screening procedures appropriate for the job duties and responsibilities of the open position. The authorization and release is listed on page four of the application and includes: verification of employment, accuracy of information, at will, falsification of information, ability to work in the United States, and post-offer drug test. You are required to sign each, indicating that you have read and understand the terms of the release and agree that the information you are providing is true and correct. We are unable to notify each applicant of the status of his or her application, or when the selection process is complete. The hiring official will contact applicants directly if selected for an interview. The selected candidate will be required to undergo any of the following job-appropriate background checks: reference check, previous employment, criminal history, motor vehicle, credit check and controlled substance and alcohol screening. All conditional job offers are contingent upon the satisfactory completion of the testing and background checks, and verification of information listed on the application and/or resume. The city requires a selected candidate to submit to a drug test as a condition of employment. Any candidate who refuses to submit to a drug and/or alcohol test will be removed from consideration of employment with the city of Colleyville. Thank you for considering employment with the city of Colleyville. Your interest is greatly appreciated! |
