Does the city of Colleyville bill me for my property taxes? No. For several years, the city of Colleyville has contracted with the Grapevine-Colleyville School District Tax Office to collect property taxes on their behalf. The city provides a homestead exemption of $65,000 for residents over 65 and disabled residents. The city also provides the freezing of taxes for residents over 65 and disabled residents. What is the current sales tax rate? The sales tax for the city is 8.25%. The state collects this tax, 6.25% of which is retained by the state. The state remits the remaining 2% to the city monthly. The city's collections are allocated as follows: 1% for general services; 0.5% to park and facilities development and economic development; and another 0.5% to the Colleyville Crime Control and Prevention District. |
