Effective Nov. 1, residential trash pick-up and recycling rates in Colleyville will increase 64 cents per month, per household. The monthly fee for twice-a-week trash collection will rise from $8.26 to $8.77; the monthly rate for once-a-week recycling pick-up will be adjusted from $$1.79 to $1.92, making the taxable monthly base total $10.69.

  Higher fuel prices and an adjusted consumer price index were cited as the reason for the increase, which is allowable under the terms of the city’s contract with IESI, the city’s waste-collection provider.

  Customers will continue to have unlimited pick-up of normal household trash and yard waste bags, as well as pick-up of up to four tied bundles of brush or fencing in each pick-up. Customers also are allowed four large-item pick-ups (up to four cubic yards) throughout the year.
  The new rates will be reflected in the bills that customers receive in the month of November.
