Colleyville, Texas City Hall
Commuter Rail Citizen Committee
Overview
The Fort Worth Transit Authority (The T) is planning to expand commuter rail service from Fort Worth to Grapevine and DFW International Airport. The initial proposal includes a potential rail station in Colleyville, possibly at the intersection of John McCain Road and State Highway 26.
The Colleyville City Council has established a Commuter Rail Citizen Committee to study the impact of the proposed commuter rail line, including whether it is in the best interest of Colleyville to have a station within Colleyville’s city limits. The results of this study are to be presented to the City Council by December 2008.

Responses to Questions from Public Meetings on Commuter Rail
While the Commuter Rail Committee’s scope is limited to studying the impact of the proposed commuter rail and the possibility of a rail stop in Colleyville, many of the public’s questions pertained to the Fort Worth T’s plans. Understanding the Colleyville community’s concerns, the committee has worked with the T to provide the most-up-to-date answers to those questions as well.
Responses were grouped by category according to the questions posed by those at the public meetings. Some of the public’s questions pertained to more than one subcommittee. In those instances, each subcommittee endeavored to answer the question as it pertains to the scope of that subcommittee’s work, so there may be some duplication in the responses. This is intended to provide the general public with the most complete response possible.
