Popular retail development opens new chapter
Colleyville, Texas…Colleyville is now a border town. Make that a Borders town. The international book and music retailer has opened a Borders flagship store in Colleyville Town Center, at the southeast corner of SH26 and Hall-Johnson Road. The 23,000-square-foot bookstore, along with a Metro Cinema/IMAX theater complex which opened this summer, will anchor the final phase of the development.

Colleyville holds the line on taxes for the 11th consecutive year
Colleyville, Texas…The property tax rate for Colleyville will hold steady at 34.74 cents for the 11th consecutive year under the city’s proposed budget. Colleyville’s tax rate is the lowest among major cities in Northeast Tarrant County, including Southlake, Grapevine, Bedford, Hurst, Euless, Keller and North Richland Hills.

Colleyville financial report wins national recognition
Colleyville, Texas…The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the city of Colleyville for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Colleyville received the award for its CAFR for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2004.
