City Council Grants Sensor Rebate |
|
According to city ordinance, all automatic irrigation systems in the city must be fitted with rain and freeze sensors by August 2008. To encourage compliance with the ordinance, the City Council has granted a one-time $20 rebate (credit) on customer water bills. In August 2006, the Colleyville City Council adopted Ordinance O-06-1587 amending the water conservation and drought contingency plan. One part of the plan calls for all automatic irrigation systems to be fitted with rain and freeze sensors by August 2008. To assist our residential and commercial customers, the city of Colleyville is offering a one-time $20 rebate (credit) on water usage fees, following verification of rain and freeze sensors installed by August 31, 2008. The rebate will appear as a credit on a future water bill. |
