e-TRAKiT: For Online Permits and Inspections

In an effort to streamline our operations and improve customer service, the City of Colleyville's Building Inspection Department has implemented e-TRAKiT, a software program that will enable citizens and registered contractors to access building permit and code enforcement information.
You can use the e-TRAKiT system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to do many things, such as schedule and inspection, check inspection status and obtain inspection history, check contractor registration information, plan review, and code enforcement case status.

19.53.Building Energy Efficiency Performance Standards. (a) Single-family residential construction. Effective January 1, 2012, the energy efficiency provisions of the International Residential Code as they existed on May 1, 2009, are adopted as the energy code in this state for single-family residential construction as it is defined in Health and Safety Code, 388.002(12).
(b) All other residential, commercial, and industrial construction. Effective April 1, 2011, the International Energy Conservation Code as it existed on May 1, 2009, is adopted as the energy code for use in this state for all residential, commercial, and industrial construction that is not single-family residential construction under subsection (a) of this section. We encourage you to use the IVR systemto fulfill many of your needs. You can use the VoicePermits System 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to do many things such as schedule an inspection, reschedule an inspection, cancel an inspection, check inspection status and obtain inspection history.

State of Texas Electrical Code 2011 National Electrical Code
|
2011 National Electrical Code (NEC) Becomes Effective September 1, 2011 - Chapter 1305.101(a)(2) of the Texas Electrical Safety and Licensing Act requires our agency to adopt the revised NEC as the electrical code for the state of Texas. In accordance with state law, the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation adopted amendments to Chapter 73.100 of the administrative rules thereby establishing the NEC 2011 as the "minimum standard" for all electrical work in Texas that is covered by the Act.
Chapter 1305.201 provides municipalities the authority to make local amendments to the 2011 NEC; however, any proposal to amed these standards should be done in accordance with NEC 90.4 which stipulates that "the authority having jurisdiction may waive specific requirements in this Code or permit alternative methods where it is assured that equivalent objectives can be achieved by establishing and maintaining effective safety."
