City taking applications for Mayor for a Day

For the fourth consecutive year, this fall the city of Colleyville is sponsoring the “Mayor for a Day” contest. The essay contest is open to Colleyville residents in grades 2-7. All contestants must submit a one- to two-page essay addressing what they would do, as mayor, to improve and enhance the lives of Colleyville citizens. Students must live in Colleyville to be selected.

Commuter Rail Study

UPDATE 9/18/08
According to the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (the T), the Environmental Impact Study on the commuter rail project is complete and is currently being reviewed by the Federal Transit Administration. The T anticipates the release of the study to the public later this fall.

Halloween Haunted Trail - Oct. 25

  Halloween arrives early with the return of the Haunted Trails Fest. Scheduled Saturday, Oct. 25, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Colleyville Nature Center, this popular event features a creepy journey along a pathway filled with scary creatures, spooky sounds, and special effects. For younger children, ghosts and goblins of a more friendly variety (think Casper) will haunt the trail from 7:00-7:30 p.m. The fright factor intensifies after 7:30 p.m.
